Deep reddish brown surfaces with nuances of olive and flecks of darker patina that give this example a mottled appearance that is more typical of the issue. One tiny rim nick is seen on the obverse beneath Washington’s truncation, yet there are no other marks requiring mention and the overall eye appeal is barely affected. Satiny, lustrous and gently reflective in the fields.
