According to the Schwartz and Lindquist reference, (75) sheets of the 1928, (3) 1928B, (11) 1928C, (60) 1928D, and (25) 1928E $1 Silver Certificate sheets were printed and sold by the BEP. No information is known from the BEP regarding any 1928A $1 Silver Certificate sheet. To the best of our knowledge this is the only known 1928A $1 sheet in existence. We do not know whether it was gifted or sold by the BEP, but we do know it exists! This sheet last sold in a 2014 auction for an impressive $23,500. Truly, a landmark opportunity to own a very important numismatic treasure.
