Fr. 94. 1862 $10 Legal Tender Note. PMG Extremely Fine 40.This 1862 Ten experienced mostly even circulation during its time in trade in the Civil War era United States. The printed inks remain bold with ivy green standing out. The red treasury seal and serial number are also still pleasing. PMG comments "Pinholes," which are noticed above the portrait of Abraham Lincoln, who was still living when this note left the ABNCs press. Otherwise, this is an excellent mid-grade example of this popular early Federal design type.
