1897年天津寄北京邮资已付实寄封1件，盖天津蓝色postage paid戳，销天津1月20日海关日戳，另有次日天津海关日戳，及北京22日海关到达戳，邮戳清晰，保存完好，少见China Postal History Imperial Post 1897 (20 Jan.) a cover to Peking showing straight-line ‘POSTAGE PAID’ handstamp in blue, and matching ‘Customs Tientsin’ double ring d.s., and a next day (21.1.) d.s., on reverse with ‘I.G. of Customs Peking’(22.1.) arrival c.d.s., very fine and outstanding usage during the transitional period between the Customs and Imperial Post.
