拍品描述： Anglo-Egyptian Banking Company Limited, specimen £1, Malta, 1 October 1886, serial number 0001 2000, black and white, brown panel at centre, Grand Master La Valette at left, reverse, value at centre, (Pick S102s), in PMG holder 64 EPQ choice uncirculated, extremely rare. The bank was established in 1827 with branches in Egypt and the Mediterranean. In 1921, the Barclays bank became the largest shareholder, and subsequently was merged with other banks to become Barclays (Dominion, Colonial & Overseas).
