MUGHAL: Babur, 1526-1530, AR shahrukhi (4.59g), Qandahar, AH935, Zeno-50776 (this piece), very clear mint, date sufficient on flan to be legible (as indicated on the Zeno site), type unknown to Aman ur-Rahman, some flatness in center on both sides, crude VF, RRR. At present, this appears to be the only known example. It has the same design introduced upon the conquest of northern India, whereas the other known Qandahar shahrukhis of Babur belong to the earlier pre-conquest designs (Rahman-38, on plate 8).
