拍品描述： 民国十六年孙中山像陵墓一圆银样，样币。 发行量仅480枚。极罕，备受追捧的版别。PCGS评级中仅三枚更高分，全爲MS64。压印清晰，表面原味柔和包浆。民国钱币中不可或缺的一个版别，是维也纳造币厂雕刻师Richard Placht的作品。儘管设计极为精緻，但没有被採纳。中山陵的形式正确，但细节不全。由于雕刻时在建筑尚未落成，由于雕刻时在建筑尚未落成，雕刻师从未看到过真实建筑，仅凭设计稿进行，所以缺少一些如正面的台阶等细节。此外，孙中山肖像的相似度不足，也是未採用的原因。

CHINA. Silver "Mausoleum" Dollar Pattern, Year 16 (1927). PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. L&M-85; K-609; Wenchao-pg. 555#898 (rarity three stars); Sun-III-4-01; WS-0130. Mintage of only 480 pieces. VERY RARE and highly sought after. Only 3 examples graded higher at PCGS, all 3 in MS64. Well struck with original, gently toned surfaces. Destined to become part of an important collection of Republic issues.

Designed by Richard Placht, Austrian medalist and engraver for the Vienna mint. Although attractive and elegant in its design, the pattern was destined to be met with disapproval. While stylistically correct, the "Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum" is lacking several design elements. (Construction of the site was still under way as this pattern was being designed). Since the engraver never actually saw the site and was only supplied with drawings, elements were omitted including the mausoleum steps leading to its face. It is also noted that the engraving of Dr. Sun Yat-sen was met with disapproval from authorities in China, as it bore only partial resemblance to his actual likeness.
