CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, ND (1914). NGC MS-62. L&M-859; K-642a; KM-Pn28; WS-0095; Wenchao-pg. 533 #856. Signed by the famous Italian engraver "L. Giorgi" near the rim above right shoulder. Yuan Shih-kai in high feathered hat. A richly toned example with pervasive multicolored mottled patina displaying a wide range of hues from soft grey to gold to red to purple to blue and then slate. Clearly an example which sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. A highly attractive representative of the type destine for a fine cabinet.
