There appears to be evidence of trimming of part of the high walled rims done contemporary to the time of issue. Deeply impressed stamp with clear definition of the characters with minor earthen deposits in the recesses of the face. Rich old patina with a slight iridescent sheen on the face while the outer surfaces exhibit an attractive dove grey. A nice wholesome example with a good look.
