1826年俄罗斯尼古拉斯一世像银章 PCGS SP 61
RUSSIA. Nicholas I Coronation Platinum Medal, 1826. PCGS SPECIMEN-61 Gold Shield.51 mm; 127.11 gms. Diakov-446.5. Engraved by V. Alexeev and G. Saborov. Obverse: Head right, Β-ΑΛΕКϹЋΕΒ- on truncation; Reverse: The All-Seeing Eye in a glory above the imperial crown on a column, signed К.Г.Ϲ.. Issued on the occasion of the coronation of the emperor. Noted by Diakov as struck in gold, silver and bronze, yet this example is struck in platinum. Remarkable as such, and an EXTREMELY RARE relic of Nicholas Is coronation ceremony. Produced with care, the designs exhibit stunning frosted relief with contrasting fields that are smooth, displaying charming reflective gleam on both sides. Light scattered handling is indicative of its age, but no instance is bothersome in the least. Given its exceeding rarity, were sure this piece is bound for a world-class collection of Russian types.
