Struck to commemorate the first anniversary of the Puppet Presidency of the Philippine Republic. Obverse: Bust of Jose Laurel facing left, JOSE PACIANO LAUREL above; Reverse: Four line inscription, legend above, date below. A RARE low mintage medal with slight surface porosity on the obverse as noted on the PCGS insert. Minor smoothing in the reverse fields long since toned over matching the rest of the medal. Despite its shortcomings an attractive piece with nice mottled milk chocolate patina.
