Instituted as an award for several subjects at Trinity College in Dublin, such as politics & literature, ethics & logic, natural science, history, and mathematics, this particular piece was presented to Huardus W. Robinson in 1933, and features on its obverse the bust of Elizabeth I facing slightly right, wearing crown and ornately ruffled collar. VERY RARE and highly interesting, this near gem presents incredibly lustrous surfaces and good relief.
