Commemorating their coronation. Obverse: Bare head of William right; Reverse: Diademed head of Adelaide right. The official Royal Mint issue, of which 1203 examples were struck in gold and from which 238 were subsequently melted, leaving 965 distributed. Assuredly, many of those remaining have been melted, making this piece, despite its marks and hairlines, rather scarce.
