CHINA. Silver 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents) Restrike Pattern, CD (1907). Tientsin Mint. ANACS MS-61.L&M-21; K-213; WS-0026. A highly pleasing example of this VERY RARE pattern issue, bright and lustrous with razor-sharp details and lovely peripheral tone. Our designation of this example as a restrike is based upon observation of light die maintenance performed prior to striking as well as a few specks of apparent die corrosion, although this is a subjective interpretation. Overall, an exceptionally pleasing specimen and a definite anchor coin for an advanced collection of Imperial Minor Patterns.
