Obverse: Diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield decorated with horseman motif; Reverse: Constantinopolis seated facing on throne, head right, with foot set upon prow and holding scepter and victoriola; star to left; ς//CONOB. Brilliantly lustrous, this exceptional gold issue features an alluring tone and a perfectly executed strike. A minor flan flaw at the edge on the obverse is noted, but in no way detracts from its beauty.
