Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: CAPTA IVDAEA, palm tree; to left, Jewish captive standing right; to right, Jewess, in attitude of mourning, seated right on cuirass; arms to outer left and right. This Judaea Capta issue presents a reversal in the order of the legend, much more commonly encountered as IVD(A)EA CAPTA. Deep green-brown surfaces, with some usual scattered light roughness, but an impressive example of a fairly difficult type.
