Fr. 1298. 25 Cents. Third Issue. PCGS Currency Gem New 65 PPQ.A much better fiber paper Fessenden note with M-2-6-5 surcharges and a on face position indicator. A striking and original fractional that is worthy of the assigned gem grade. While Fr. 1297 is somewhat available as a nice Choice or even Gem CU note, such is not the case for this a position variety. PMG has sold a single 67 EPQ and also a lone 65 EPQ. PCGS has sold a single 66 PPQ better than this one. That note realized $2,760 just last year. In our spring Baltimore sale, we sold a PMG Choice CU 64, sans EPQ, for over $600. The present offering should easily topple the $1,000 mark on its way to glory.
