The point of the shield is over the right side of the first digit 1 in the date. Rev: Similar to the regular issue design, but with the addition of the motto GOD OUR TRUST in the field above the eagle. This popular and eagerly sought pattern design is a precursor to the familiar IN GOD WE TRUST type adopted for regular issue Liberty Seated half dollar production in 1866.From the E.
