The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation,$5, 1.5.1904, serial number 849601, green on orange and multicolour, bank coat of arms at upper centre, 5at each corner, black printed manuscript signature at lower right, a strong and neat hand signed signature at lower left, reverse red, three allegorical female figures representing agriculture, commerce and industry at centre,(Pick 156), PMG 35 Choice Very Fine, the single HIGHEST GRADED note in the PMG population report. This is a scarce type that is usually found in the lower grades or with repairs. This is an original note with strong paper, clear and striking colours. This note was last sold publicly by Spink in the mid 1990s and no other notes have come close to matching this grade. Magnificent
