于世界纸币标准目录及K.N. Boon所编制之目录中均注明此系列的100元只于8.9.1910年发行，但此样票却印年份190_，可见原意为于1910年前发行。K.N. Boon目录里所用的插图显示有印部分年份19(10)，因此于此图录出版时此枚100元乃是独一无二。于2019年3月的Spink拍卖中相同系列的50元连佣金以港币780,000成交，此枚则是更高面值及无修剪痕迹。
The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China,$100, specimen, partially printed date 190_, grey borders on purple-pink, bank coat of arms at upper centre, $100to its left and right, 100in violet underprint at centre, black printed manuscript at lower right, 4 hole punch cancellations, a rare W.W. Sprague and Co. printing,(Pick 39 for type), PMG 40 Extremely Fine. Likely unique. Both Pick and K.N.Boon list this type issued on 8.9.1910 only but the partially printed date is 190_which indicates the design was to be used before 1910. The illustration in K.N.Boons reference book is partially printed 19(10)and so this version is likely unique at the time of writing. We sold the $50 of the same series in March 2019 for HKD$780,000 inclusive of the buyers premium and this is a higher denomination note and untrimmed
