1976 Lincoln Cent--Struck on a Peru 1/2 Sol Planchet--Unc Details--Obverse Scratched (NGC).2.2 grams. Bright brassy-gold surfaces with glints of champagne-pink iridescence here and there around the peripheries. The strike is well centered on the planchet, all major design elements bold and only the top of a few letters in the motto IN GOD WE TRUST partially off the flan. The NGC qualifier concerns several unfortunate scratches over and around Lincolns portrait. Wrong planchet errors are scarce, especially when they involve a planchet intended for another countrys coinage.
