MS-65 (PCGS).A fully brilliant and snowy example of this intriguing variety, with a nickname more often associated with New Jersey coppers than Washington quarters. The obverse die shows dramatic failure, resulting in a swollen area beneath Washingtons chin. Nicely defined and without notable abrasions. Scarce in all grade, PCGS has certified just 31 examples and this piece is among the finest few.
