HONG KONG. 10 Cents, 1863/33. Victoria. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.。KM-6.1; Mars-C18. Interesting and subtle overdate. Well struck with attractive gray to olive toning, an example with good eye appeal. Interesting to note is that both proofs and business strikes all have this characteristic which would indicate that they were either struck from the same dies or that the master hub had this same characteristic. Upon further comparison several other diagnostics are shared between the proofs and business strikes such as a depressed line on the "T" of "CENTS", raised lips of the dash between "Hong" and "Kong", the shape of the "A" in "VICTORIA" as well as minor details in the bust.。
