Army, while serving in Nanking, China, in 1947. Lewis Franklin Acker (1897-1963) served in Mexico, both World Wars and China and was awarded a Purple Heart. Ackers hand written attributions of each piece are included as most pieces are still adhered to them by clear tape. Various sizes and metals, including some openwork charms. Topics include prosperity, longevity, fertility, virtue as well as other interesting issues. Some appear to be missionary copies from the late 19th to early 20th century.
