Haines enlisted June 27th 1861 at Memphis, Tennessee. He served under Brig. Gen. J.S. Bowen in the 1st Missouri Infantry. This note is lightly circulated and Haines manuscript is boldly inked and totally legible. The grading service has added a comment for minor ink erosion.
