NY-156. New York. April 2, 1759. 5 Pounds. PCGS Currency Very Fine 35.No. 1247. Signed by Reade, Barclay, and Scott. PCGS notes Edge splits and tears. Bold New York coat of arms and rich printing quality. Quite high grade for this somewhat earlier New York colonial issue. A trio of wide margins with a tighter right margin. Three signatures that are more boldly accomplished than what we typically encounter. The Newman note was this same grade level with problems and sold for $960.
