The portrait vignettes of Lewis and Clark along with the central bison show westward expansion and exploring. This Choice Uncirculated piece retains all the originality it had when printed while showing the last signature combination prior to the 1923 series that replaced it. Just a tight top margin is in our mind the sole limiting factor in grade.
