1788 Vermont Copper (using the same reverse as 1788 Connecticut M.1-I) Miller 125-I, Ryder-25, Bressett 16-U, W-2195. VF-25 (PCGS).137.2 grains. Glossy deep grayish olive and steel surfaces are uniform and very pleasant. Faint microporosity is seen under magnification and a few very tiny planchet imperfections are noted in the right reverse field. Fairly well centered and nicely struck over an Irish halfpenny, with clear evidence of the undertype at the center of Liberty. The legends and date are respectably strong. Overall, this is easily one of the choicest examples we have seen and we are delighted to be able to present it once again. From the Twin Leaf Collection of Connecticut & Massachusetts Coppers.
