1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 8-N, W-2835. Rarity-4. Mailed Bust Left. VF-30 (PCGS).141.4 grains. Glossy tan surfaces with traces of deeper reddish brown through some of the recesses. Gentle porosity and a couple of tiny voids, but no serious flaws, whether natural or from handling. A couple of small rim bumps are noted, however. Struck about 15% off center with a broad arc of natural planchet curving around half the coin, this similar to the Collection SLT example we sold in 2012.
