1859/1859 Indian Cent. Snow-1, FS-301. Repunched Date. MS-64+ (PCGS). Eagle Eye Photo Seal. CAC.A very bold RPD with a wide spread, remnants of the first date logotype are evident southwest of the primary digits in the date. Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton (Cherrypickers Guide to Rare Die Varieties of United States Coins, Fifth Edition, Volume I) state that, "...due to the spread of the secondary digits [this variety] should be considered worth a great premium." Beautiful near-Gem quality, the present example is sharply struck with lustrous, golden-copper surfaces.
