Printed on India paper, backed on card. Dual punched-hole cancellations at each signature line, and marked "SPECIMEN" in red ink at the signature lines and in the position of the bank serial number. Excellent color, but a couple of light foxing spots. Once part of a presentation book, but cut free. The top and right end of the "card" have gilt edges, while the bottom is trimmed and the left end shows binding material on the back. The book must have been spectacular when it was intact. Very rare, and perhaps unique in private hands. Last offered in the Q. David Bowers Collection in Stacks 2010 Americana sale where it brought $4,600.From the Q.
