1904 Liberty Head Double Eagle--Struck Thru Reverse--MS-63 (PCGS).This sharply struck, lustrous, rose-orange example would make a lovely addition to a high quality Liberty Head double eagle set. The mint error referenced as a Strike Through refers to a vertical depression extending up from the second L in DOLLARS on the reverse where some minor obstruction was present during coining and then fell away, leaving its small imprint in that area. An interesting addition for the specialist or mint error collector. From the Fairmont Collection.
