The clock is virtually full, a relatively small break at the upper left corner pointing to an earlier die state. The eagles plumage is equally impressive with sharp to full delineation throughout. Ideally centered with universally denticulated borders, this smooth and virtually pristine-looking example is a strong contender for a Mint State grade. This enigmatic type is thought to have been made as late as the 1830s, probably to commemorate the founding of the Mott Company in 1789.
