1883 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-67 (PCGS).An original and essentially pristine specimen displaying a rich patina of twilight shades. Peach and sapphire hues dominate the obverse while the reverse is toned in bands of sapphire, gold, and magenta iridescence. The fields are watery and radiant under a light source, with the most flashy reflectivity shining through on the reverse. A satiny, almost matte-like luster blankets the design elements and remains fully undisturbed across even the high points. pppThe Philadelphia Mint produced 1,039 Proof silver dollars in 1883 and the typical survivor encountered in todays market grading no finer than Proof-64. Premium quality Gems such as this are scarce and always in demand. This piece certainly ranks among the finest survivors known, and just 3 have been certified finer by PCGS. p
