BELGIUM. Hainaut. Lion dOr, ND (1433-67). Philippe Le Beau (Philip the Fair) (1433-67). PCGS AU-50.Fr-269; Del-303; Demay-326. Sharply struck with subdued golden color in the fields that legends that retain a noticeable amount of debris in the recesses. A few scattered marks in the field to the right of the lion deserve notation, but fall comfortably within the confines of the grade. Altogether, a VERY SCARCE issue with a design that should certainly appeal to the collector of hammer gold type coins.
