正面图案罗贯中头像，背面图案为桃园三结义。上海造币厂造，正面设计：陈坚，背面设计：骆行沙。《三国演义》是中国古典四大名著之一，元末明初撰写的半虚构文学著作，作者罗贯中。东汉末年，朝廷腐败，灾祸不断降临到人民头上。由于无法生存，百姓们起义对抗朝廷，朝廷军队无法阻止叛乱，政府不得不招募有才能的人。“桃园三结义”讲述的是三位重要的英雄人物刘备、关羽和张飞。刘备是皇家后代，却出身贫穷，靠卖鞋谋生。最终，他建立了三国之一的蜀国。三人初识之时，张飞以卖猪肉为生，关羽是一个逃犯。他们在一个饭馆相遇，彼此志趣不谋而合，于是通过一个传统的仪式结为兄弟，这便是著名的桃园三结义。
