Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justin I facing three-quarters right, holding spear and shield; Reverse: Angel standing facing, holding long cross and globus cruciger, star in right field. One of the first reverse types to feature the male angel instead of the female Victory, which came about just after Constantinoples split with Rome in A.D. 519.
