PCGS Currency Very Fine 25.A downright rare offering from this Wilmington bank with this handsome $10 Brown Back being one of just three notes extant from the charter. The Atlantic National Bank was chartered April 18, 1892 and issued $10 and $20 Brown Backs only before liquidating in January of 1908. In all 9600 sheets were issued in the $10-$10-$10-$20 format. The present note evenly circulated with ample margins and bold inks. Stamped bank officers signatures are faint but present. The paper is wholesome and free of any detracting attributes. We can trace no public offerings of a note from this charter in at least the last 20 years.
