Green frame, incredibly intricate green lathe devices across center of note with micro-lettered titles and 1 counters. Top center, cupped in title, The Young Students. Upper left, Washingtons Tomb. Lower right, Washington. Opposite corners, scalloped Cyrus Durand patent counters with bank titles in spokes. An excellent security printed Ace from this popularly collected area. A few examples are known of this type though they are usually tightly held and hotly contested when seen at auction. The paper is wholesome, displaying just modest circulation while the design elements are sharply printed in bold inks.
