Fine to Very Fine.The savings bonds program expanded greatly early in World War II. The enactments going back to 1917 authorized the continuation of bond issuance to the public. The bonds were large format size and registered to individual purchasers. Issue price was $75.00 for a $100 bond. The backs had request for payment and were "Not Transferrable." Engraved and printed by the BEP. 20.0cm by 22.0cm. Grover Cleveland upper left. Light green undertint. Red Treasury Seal. Redemption table on face. Green payment back. No embossed Treasury Seal. Issued, various stamps on face and back. Hole cancel. This was redeemed shortly thereafter for $77.00.
