Issued and Redeemed.  Very Fine.We believe this is a rare registered bond type which has a complex obligation, but it is Internal Revenue Service related and could be paid into or transferred for tax payments. It is very short-term. An unusual savings bond. Issued price was $25 and bore interest of 4 cents per month for up to 2 years (96 cents). It ceased accruing and this bond was redeemed in 1949. Printed at the BEP, but not an ornate type. 24.0cm by 15.0cm. Olive frame all around, enclose obligation with central olive eagle. Blue Treasury Seal with Morgenthau engraved signature. Back with payment form and early redemption rates. Embossed Treasury Seal. Issued at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Redeemed at Buffalo, N.Y. There are a few folds. Crisp and solid.
