COLOMBIA. Cundinamarca. 1820-JF 8 Reales. Bogotá mint. Restrepo 157.1. MS-62 (PCGS).Exceptionally attractive deep lilac gray with superb surfaces and remarkable visual appeal. Both portrait and pomegranate are fully realized and boldly detailed, making this a definitive specimen of the type. A short scratch is noted behind the portrait, and some extremely minor granularity is seen near the 8 on the left side of the reverse, but the fields are otherwise immaculate. A special example with an impressive provenance. From Christies (Dallas) sale of the Norweb Collection, November 1985, lot 723.
