COLOMBIA. 1842 pattern One Centavo. Bogotá mint. Restrepo P8. Bronze. SP-64 BN (PCGS).An important historical piece, the very first pattern for the One Centavo denomination. Attractive bronzed copper surfaces show medium brown patina with some peeks of faded rose. A few little specks are noted, and a tiny rim nick is present over V of NUEVA on the obverse. A scarce piece with a good story. From Christies sale of December 1978.
