COLOMBIA. 1765-JV 2 Escudos. Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino (Bogotá) mint. Carlos III (1759-1788). Restrepo 60.8. MS-62 (PCGS).Frosty light yellow gold surfaces retain excellent mint luster and brightness across both sides. The strike is definitive, the portrait is bold. A thin die crack crosses R of REX to the kings chest, and a single adjustment mark remains low on his cheek. A beautiful specimen, an excellent choice to serve as a high grade example of this portrait type. From Hans M.F. Schulman, August 1969.
