PMG Very Fine 20.An always significant offering on Alaska as any note from the state, regardless of the charter, is highly scarce to rare. This First National Bank of Ketchikan issued just small-size notes and the current Track and Price census shows a mere 33 pieces recorded, this serial being previously unrecorded. Problem free mid-grade examples such as this Very Fine note are seldom seen. The majority of known pieces are Fine or less in quality. Nicely centered face and back impressions are noted and mostly even circulation keeps the appeal high for the grade. The last to sell on the charter publicly was a PMG Very Fine 25 Five Dollar type one note which brought $7,800.00 in a January sale this year.
