Fr. 1506*. 1928E $2 Legal Tender Star Note. PCGS Currency Very Fine 25.These 1928E replacements are several times more rare than the 1928F and 1928G series Star Notes. They seldom are offered publicly in any state and are simply rare in Uncirculated grades which is proven by PCGS Currency showing only a trio in the New grade range, without a single Gem. High-end circulated notes are equally scarce and attractive mid-grade examples such as this are the collecting norm. The note shows pleasing detail and overprinted color and it wouldnt be questionable if certified five points finer.
