These 1922 notes are the final large designs for the Gold Certificate type featuring a prominent portrait of Michael Hillegas at center, the first Treasurer of the United States. The overprinted color in gold is always appealing and this example shows it nicely embossed into the fresh paper stock. The important orange back is perfectly illustrated and the centering and margins are indeed superb.
