An alligator is seen at top while a beaver appears at lower left on this April 2, 1776 dated $3 for which 10,000 examples were issued. The note comes darkly printed and well cut. We see a light corner fold at bottom left and a couple of small stains near top center as mentioned by the grading service. This example was formerly part of the massive holdings of the John J.
