Very Fine.A bold and colorful unissued remainder of the New York Office $5000 type. A numbered blank, printed on both sides by the National Bank Note Company on bond paper as used for issued notes. 22.5cm by 11.5cm. Layout as last. Deep brown frame and two circular security dies in lower corners; NEW YORK under right part of title. Seated Justice used on Obsolete banknotes and other Federal instruments. Upper corners with 5000 dies composed of overlapped heptagonal UNITED STATES TREASURY micro-lettered elements. Left end with New York Clearing House Association outside color border. Red overprint text left of center. Brown transfer back form. No. 9361. Extremely rare in any form, this is a very attractive blank with excellent color. There are several vertical folds, a few with very short edge splits. There are two tiny black mount remnants on the back. A superior representative of this important Federal type.From the John E.
