Choice Very Fine. This is an unnumbered, archive remainder for this extremely rare loan and might be known only in this form. A beautiful piece like all the engraved Federal bonds from the early acts. Printed on bond paper by the American Bank Note Co., New-York. 43.5cm (part of stub folded back) by 18.0 cm. Full bond with stub at the left end. Bond layout identical to Hessler X130D, but with those subtle changes. Washington top center, flanked by flags. Brown transfer form on back. Unnumbered. Penciled notation on transfer and crayon mark on folded back part of stub. Two oval signature cancels as described in Christies November 28-29, 1990 Leo sale catalog. Bright with only some minor archival folds. This realized $2,200 in 1990 at Christies when last sold. Worth some multiple of that, for what might be the only example known. From the John E.
